SYMPTOMS OF MOLD CONTAMINATION Indoor molds feed on construction materials of buildings and product mycotoxins that are very harmful to the body. Repeated exposure to these mycotoxins can produce health problems and more. Some of the symptoms of mold contamination and its adverse health effects could be:
Where is mold found? Mold is ubiquitous to our environment - therefore it is all around us in the air we breath. Mold becomes an indoor air quality concern when there's more mold growing indoors than naturally occurring outside, or if the mold found indoors is different from the mold found outside. Mold needs water to grow. Therefore mold is most commonly found in buildings with water damaged building materials. Mold can also be invisible as it grows beneath water damaged floorboards, behind water damaged walls and within the ducts of a heating and air conditioning system. Mold can be caused by an accumulation of ground water surrounding the exterior of your home, leaky faucets and pipes and when indoor humidity is higher than 60%. |
